BP: Water minimization program
11 junio 2007BP’s water minimization program implemented in Perth, Western Australia in 1997 has led to a twenty percent reduction in water use, saving the company $AUS950, 000 and reducing reliance on the municipal water supply by seventy percent; discharges from the wastewater treatment plant have also been reduced by twenty percent. This program has involved employee training and a series of process improvements throughout the refinery, coupled with a partnership effort with to develop water treatment and reuse plans.
